  • Darjeeling tea is known for its unique, complex flavour profile and is considered one of the finest black teas in the world. It has a distinctive musky and floral aroma, with hints of fruit and spice. The taste is full-bodied, with a bright and sharp character that is often described as having a musky and wine-like quality. It is typically well-balanced, with a mild astringency and a long, lingering finish that leaves a clean and refreshing aftertaste. Darjeeling tea is considered an acquired taste due to its unique flavour profile, but is highly prized by tea connoisseurs for its complexity and depth.

  • Unlike other black teas, such as Assam, Darjeeling has a milder caffeine content, making it a better option for those who are sensitive to the effects of caffeine. This is because the tea leaves are grown at high elevations, which can affect the caffeine levels of the final product. In addition to its mild caffeine content, Darjeeling tea is also rich in antioxidants and polyphenols.
